Wordless Wednesday

My brain was so done this week… I was lesson planning and kept staring at the same page for almost thirty minutes…
Completely unrelated to the above, this weekend I got this for my dresser… it holds my necklaces so they don’t have to be sprawled out everywhere… I have been wanting one of these for years!
My old coworker, Marian, came by my office on a surprise visit last night, with many butterfly gifts and books for me and an invitation to a wonderful dinner at the French Connection… Here are tiny Duck shaped chocolates and (not in the picture) Butterfly Kiss pinot grigio, eclipse dark chocolate bars, and kitty stationary… (oh my!)
A coffee cup sleeve she saved for me so I can pin up above my desk for artistic purposes…
A hand decorated match book with tiny butterfly aphorisms inside…
And feminist literature in German and French…
Thank you Marian!!!

I should have posted these last week… would have made more sense, but on Halloween they made spooky spider cookies at day care…

Arick and I took them Trick or Treating that night… Fairy Kitty Princess…
And a Duck…
On Sunday I took them with my mom to Griffith Park…. They rode the ponies….
Then we all went on the train… My mom and Ally rode in the front as we crossed the miniature Golden Gate Bridge…
Past the replicas of a gold mining town….
Ducky and I sat right behind…

Wordless Wednesday

So there is this trend for dark nail polish with a splash of a lighter color on the ring finger. This was my attempt at it… black polish, gold on the ring finger… not sure how I feel about it…
Sleeping next to me on the couch while I grade… She is such a Lovey.
I finally bought a pair of these… not sure what to do with them…
The Getty was having a Chaucer Family Festival day… I also briefly got to experience the room upstairs with St. Alban’s illuminated manuscripts and Canterbury stained glass windows (for obvious reasons I could not take pictures). However I foresee another trip in the near future so I can spend several hours in that room… they have manuscript creation tutorials and a virtual walk through of Canterbury Cathedral!!!
Ally and Ducky made their own illuminated manuscripts…
This is a really interesting fountain… but a very bad picture…
The kids also made their own stained glass windows… very nice creative project (theirs didn’t look quite as nice as the model shown here)….
Ally wanted her own pair of boots to match me… got her a pair that she wore for the first time.

Wordless Wednesday

Ducky sleeping on the way back from the airport.
I sat at this red light four times… took a picture of the pretty church across the street. And no, this picture doesn’t have a filter on it. The bluish tint is from my car windshield… I think…
Gigi sleeps on my lap while I read in bed at night…
I took them on the trolley… several times.
Tanya came to visit me at work, and brought coffee… Westley came along…. So basically Westley brought me coffee… Thank you tiny cute baby!
