I was listening to the radio today, and became nostalgic over a song, The Rolling Stones’ Gimme Shelter, which reminded me of a whole slew of other songs that at at some point, for different reasons, were important, and trigger memories.

I don’t always think of them, but when I hear them, a series of memories and emotions all come at once. Only certain songs have this power, and often times it happens with songs I have not heard in years. Other songs I listen to regularly because I know the effect they have on me.

I am leaving a lot out, but here is a (very short) compilation of some of the most emotional charged songs for me (the second one down almost makes me cry each time):
